Caring for Your Moemoe Bedding

Our bedding is made with beautiful natural fibres, and with a little care, your Moemoe products will continue to provide exceptional comfort for years to come.

Fresh Air & Sunshine

Natural fibres are best refreshed naturally. Whenever possible, air your Moemoe duvet or pillow outside in fresh air and sunshine.

Hanging your bedding in direct sunlight helps to naturally freshen and revive the fibres, while allowing moisture to evaporate.

For best results, give your duvet or pillow a good shake once it has been aired.

A Note About Natural Wool & Lanolin

We treat the wool used in our duvets as naturally as possible. Because of this, you may occasionally notice a subtle natural lanolin fragrance.

Lanolin is a natural oil found in wool, and some people are more sensitive to its fragrance than others. If you notice a lanolin smell when your duvet is new, simply hang it outside in direct sunlight for the day. The fragrance will naturally dissipate with airing.

Feather & Down Bedding

After airing your feather and down duvet or pillows in the sunshine, give them a gentle shake and fluff to help redistribute the filling and restore their natural loft and softness.

Avoid vigorous shaking, which can place unnecessary stress on the fabric and filling.

Spot Cleaning

For small marks or spills, we recommend spot cleaning rather than washing the entire product.

1. Gently hold the cotton casing away from the filling.

2. Dab the affected area with clean water and a gentle, non-chemical cleaner.

3. Avoid soaking the filling.

4. Dry the area thoroughly and immediately in direct sunlight or using a hairdryer on a gentle setting.

Always ensure the area is completely dry before using or storing your bedding.

Professional Cleaning

If your Moemoe duvet or pillow requires a deeper clean, we recommend using a reputable professional dry cleaner experienced in caring for natural-filled bedding.

Please check the care label on your individual product before arranging professional cleaning.

Storing Your Moemoe Bedding

When your bedding is not in use, store it in a breathable storage bag in a cool, dry and well-ventilated cupboard.

Avoid storing natural-filled bedding in plastic or airtight containers, as the fibres need to breathe.

Before using your duvet or pillows again, we recommend hanging them outside in full sunshine and fresh air to naturally refresh and revive the filling.

All online orders are dispatched Monday to Friday.

We aim to dispatch all orders (with the exception of custom orders) within one business day. Courier delivery is approximately 4-6 business days.  

What are the shipping costs?

New Zealand: Free shipping for all items over $100 (via courier 1-3 business days once dispatched) for all orders. For any purchase under $100 there is a $15.00 shipping fee.

Please allow extra days for delivery to rural addresses. 

NB: we do not ship to PO Boxes so please provide a physical address during checkout. 

Worldwide: Please contact us on sales@thegreenboutique.co.nz for a quote on freight.

International deliveries: For purchases outside of New Zealand you may be required to pay duty tax on your orders. We do not offer refunds if you refuse the package due to customs charges.    Please double check your shipping address is correct as we cannot be held responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to incorrect delivery details. Any taxes, duty or other fees incurred on arrival will be the responsibility of the customer

Returns

We want you to love your purchase but understand that sometimes this is not the case.

Contact us at moemoe@thegreenboutique.co.nz to start the replacement process.  Moemoe will email you a form to complete and arrange a collection of the faulty product.  We will meet with our manufacturing team to assess the product. 

Please make sure your product is packaged in a box to avoid further damage.  Return your item with the completed form emailed to you to the following address;

Under NZ law, you are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality.

Our warranties do not cover; change of mind, incorrectly laundered items, items where the tags have been removed, damage caused by neglect or misuse or general wear and tear.

Please email sales@thegreenboutique.co.nz notifying us that you wish to return an item including the invoice number and the reason for returning it.  

Once we have received the returned products we will notify you by email of your exchange or refund entitlement.
